Hobart, TAS -- 5 December 2002 -- Beyond Midnight
Software today announced the release of Pipemare, a new 2D
pipe building puzzle game.
What is Pipemare?
Pipemare is a new take on an old game concept.
The idea in Pipemare is to build a pipe that will allow
water to flow from the IN pipe on the screen to the OUT
pipe. You have various pipe pieces available at the bottom
of the screen from which you can build this pipe. Unlike
similar games in the past, all the pipe pieces are available
for use from the start (they aren't given to you
randomly).
Doesn't this make the game too easy? Not at all!
Not all pipe pieces are available on all levels (or there
might be very limited numbers of a particular piece).
Additional challenges on each level include obstacles
(walls, existing pipe pieces, frozen ground), minimum length
requirements for the pipe, bonuses to tempt you to go where
you really shouldn't, and an ever counting down timer!
Pipemare has 36 levels in all. If you get stuck, there
are cheat codes you can use, and a booklet will soon be
available that will give hints and solutions to all
levels.
As a special bonus, people who purchase Pipemare before
the end of December will also receive a free copy of our
previous game, Flip! (a $10 value).
A demonstration version of Pipemare (only the first 6
levels can be played) is available for download now from the
Beyond Midnight Software web site, located at http://www.bmsw.com.au/pipemare/
