Privacy Policy Statement

Beyond Midnight Software has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for this web site.

What information does Beyond Midnight Software collect?

For each visitor to our Web site, our Web server automatically recognises only the user's domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). The information collected is used for internal review and is then discarded; it is not shared with other organisations for commercial purposes.

We collect the domain name of visitors to our Web site, the e-mail addresses of those who subscribe to our mailing-list, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, and the e-mail and postal addresses of those who purchase one of our products.

How is this information used?

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web site, to notify users about updates to our products and to provide users with the information they need to unlock the products they have purchased.

Is this information shared with other entities?

We do not rent, loan, sell or give our mailing list or any other information we collect to other companies or organisations for any purpose whatsoever.

Mailing list

We run a mailing list which we invite all newly registered users to join. We host this mailing list ourselves - it is not hosted by an outside party. The only information we require is your email address, and we will never share, rent, loan, sell or give away your email address.

Use of cookies

We set one cookie in your browser - to record if you have been shown the popup window for subscribing to our newsletter. This cookie is set to ensure you aren't bothered repeatedly by the popup window. The cookie records no information about you or your computer.

What about security in credit card processing?

Credit card transactions are handled by Kagi. They use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to ensure safe transactions. Paying for Beyond Midnight Software's products on-line using your credit card is safe if your browser supports the SSL protocol. Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer both do (if you are unsure, check your browser's documentation). Kagi also uses VeriSign authentication procedures for all secure credit card transactions. Still in doubt? Check out Kagi's FAQ.

Note that secure on-line registration is always safer than e-mail registration. However, the Register application encrypts credit card information giving a reasonable degree of security.

You may also want to read Kagi's Privacy Statement.

Contests

We occasionally run contests on our site in which we ask visitors for contact information (like email address). Contact information from the contests is only used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary to deliver a prize.
